Abud Family Foundation for the Arts Gallery


Abud LobbySince its inception in 2002, the Foundation has provided  scholarships to artists from Madrid Spain, Mexico City, Lima Peru, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua and the New Jersey / New York area.

 

Browse through our  gallery to learn who  our scholaship recipients are  and see some of the art we have had on display.

Juan Manuel Fuentes

Manul Fuentes Maestro PaintingOur first Artist, Juan Manuel Fuentes, was introduced in November 2002 during the grand opening  event of our Gallery.

Mr Fuentes lives and paints in Madrid, Spain.

David Alfaro Siqeiros

Siqueiros - Arbol SecoA collection of paintings by the Mexican master David Alfaro Siqueiros (1896-1974) was on loan to the gallery from April 15 until the end of May  2004.

Sigrid Lind

Lind Sinfonia De LuzSigrid Lind lives and paints in Mexico City.

Her collection of oil paintings titled “Misterios” was on display in May of 2005.

Chachi Tremolada

Tremolada - El Sol NaranjaChachi Tremolada  from Trujillo Peru.
Her colorful collection of oil paintings were titled “Traveling”, on display in March 2006.

Julio Garcia

Garcia - Anywhere AmericaJulio Garcia, Cuban born, currently resides in Savannah, GA.

Collection titled “As seen from above” was on display in October 2007.

Abdias Mendez Robles

Robles - Reflection in BlueAbdias Mendez Robles was the first scholarship recipient from Puerto Rico.

His collection of oil paintings titled “Infinity Within a Limit” was on display in November 2008.

Vladimir Gregorovich

Gregorovich - V GriegVladimir Gregorovich, from Port Murray NJ,  was our first "tri-state" area artist.

His work was on display in May  2003.

Edward Bekkerman

Bekkerman - GatheringEdward Bekkerman, lives and paints in New York City.

His exhibit, titled “Dreams” was on display in June  2004.

Ferrante - BarcodeAngelo S.  Ferrante, Trenton NJ, was the third "tri-state area artist to receive our scholarship.

His collection of NY Scapes was on display in March  2007.

Rachel Friedberg

Friedberg - A Patch of BlueRachel Friedberg, from New York City. Known for her incredible Encaustic art,  Her collection titled “SHE” was on display in April  – May , 2009.

Igor Corrales

Donostia__8Igor Corrales, native of Nicaragua, Central America. His collection of oil paintings titled "Donostia", depicts life in San Sebastian, Spain where he currently lives and paints. In our gallery October 2009.

 Bonefish: Playana, Jardines de la Reina, Cuba              

Alberto Rey, born in Havana Cuba in 1960. He received political asylum through Mexico and moved to the US with his family a s a child. Mr Rey is a Professor in the Department of Visual Arts and New Media at the State University of New York at Fredonia.

His collection Titled "A New Naturalism", 27 paintings of Fish and Rivers in the US, Iceland, Cuba and Wales created as a result of Mr Reys interest in flyfishing, was exhibited in our gallery in March 2005.

DeVine Wood

 

the_crocBill DeVine and Ramon DeAnda are a wood artisan team from New Jersey called DeVine Wood. Their mission is to release nature's hidden beauty, allure and color from both domestic and exotic woods, into artful objects. Their collection of art objects were on display in our gallery in March 2010.

 This exhibit was planned in colaboration with Rider University Alumni.
